Step 5 - Background Check

We verify the information and work history you give us on your application as well as other information requested and required by our clients. If you have not already done so under Step 1, please complete the Release and Consent for Background Check online and submit it electronically.

• Release and Consent for Background Check

• Social Security number verification (E-Verify)
• National criminal background check
• Employment verification for the past 7 years or since completion of the nursing degree whichever is least.
• Office of Inspector General (OIG). This checks the list of people who have committed Medicare fraud and cannot work in any facility that receives Medicare payments.
• Excluded Parties Listing System (EPLS). This checks the list of people who have been excluded from federal contracts and are ineligible to work in facilities that receive federal funds.
• Professional license verification
• Violent sexual offender & predator registry search
• Government suspect list check (terrorists)
• Education verification (required for some facilities)
