GRIFFIN HOSPITAL DOCUMENTATION

September 16, 2009

Our new Performance Improvement RN is very active in auditing nursing notes, nursing assessment and other nursing documentation form. She is sending each nurse email regarding their completion or incompletion of the forms. Some of the agency nurses are included in these audits. Rene has sent them an email and will conduct weekly follow-up. At this time I am not able to send you the data as it list the clients name, hopefully in the future I will be able to send you the information without the clients names. At this time I am asking you to notify your nurses that we are very involved in the performance management processes and wish for their support and patience with us moving forward in our goal of increasing nursing practice standards.
Thanks you for your great help and your nursing staff.
We really could not care for our clients without your assistance.

Rita Campbell, RN
Interim Director

Walk in "on demand" paper pay checks are NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

To receive a paper pay check, you must FAX your time prior to 3:00pm on M-W-F and pick up your check between 3:00pm $ 4:00pm. For time received after 3:00pm, the check will be available on the next payroll day.

We encourage you to utilize the convenience of direct deposit or Money Card. Neither of these pay options are affected by this change.

Health Care Reform

July 28, 2009

CONSENSUS OF THE HEALTHCARE LEGISLATION IN CONGRESS.

The American Medical Association has weighed in on the new Obama health care proposals.

The Allergists voted to scratch it, but the Dermatologists advised no to make any rash moves. The Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it, but the Neurologists thought the Administration had a lot of nerve.

The Obstetricians felt they were all laboring under a misconception. Ophthalmologists considered the idea shortsighted. Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!" while the Pediatricians said, "Oh, Grow up!"

The Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness, while the Radiologists could see right through it. Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing. The Internists thought it was a bitter pill to swallow, and the Plastic Surgeons said, "This puts a whole new face on the matter...."

The Podiatrists thought it was a step forward, but the Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea. The Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas, and the Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.

In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision up to the assholes in Washington.
