Subject: AVATAR- Discharges, Balancing Nightly Census & Level of Care Changes
Please renew your commitment to ensure the following processes:
1. All discharges MUST be entered into AVATAR & completed at the time of the discharge. (This should occur PRIOR to walking the patient out of the building); and
2. Each Dorm Census MUST be balanced & Level of Care Changes MUST occur nightly. (This should be one of the first acts that is completed upon receipt of you respective assigned Dorm)
The difficulties that we are facing with adjusting to the current changes with AVATAR are underscored when these tasks are incomplete.
If training questions or needs remain regarding AVATAR or any of these important expectations, please contact any or all of the following:
Liz Melton
Cheryl DeVault
Donna Hyde
Your strict adherence and attention is welcomed and appreciated.
Thank You
Jeff R Smith, MS, MHR, BSN, RN

We were notified this morning that Helen was killed in a motorcycle accident near Tecumseh yesterday.
Helen had been employed with AMP since November, 2008. She held a full time job at COJAC working with adjudicated youth.
This is a sad and sudden loss for her family and coworkers. Our prayers and thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
